Follow us in this very short video as we take you thru this simple but tasty recipe of Teriyaki Beef Jerky on the Traeger or any other pellet grills and upright smokers. Here is the recipe.

RECIPE
INGREDIENTS – 00:24
Any cut of lean beef you want but preferably lower quality cuts such as round roasts or steaks
1 cup Soy Sauce
½ cup brown sugar
1 tbs Ginger powder
1 tbs Sesame seeds
½ tbs sesame seed oil
¼ cup Rice vinegar
½ tbs black pepper
4 garlic cloves chopped

DIRECTIONS
Make marinade (brine) by combining all above ingredients except the meat in a large bowl mixing it very well
Cut your round roast or steak into ¼” slices with the grain – 01:53
Add your meat to the brine (marinade) and mix it very well so that the marinade is touching the meat everywhere
Refrigerate for 24 hours stirring the meat one in a while – 3:02
After 24 hours drain and spread the meat on triple layers of paper towels – 03:10
Pat dry the meat with paper towels to remove liquid off of meat
Start your Traeger (pellet grill) and set to smoke – 03:30
Add pieces of meat to grill spreading them around so that no pieces are touching each other
Smoke for 3 to 3½ hours flipping the meat over halfway through the smoking process. – 03:44
After 3 to 3½ hours check if meat is to your desired doneness. If you prefer stiffer jerky leave meat on for another ½ to 1 hour.
Once your desired doneness has been reached remove meat from grill and refrigerate for at least one hour spread around on a large cookie sheet.
