If you have an old cat, you can help make its bed more comfortable by placing heated tiles underneath it. Just get a tile and heat it up in the oven for a while to place under the cat’s bed. Keep the temperature of the oven at 200 degrees. Then, wrap this up into a towel and place it underneath your cat’s bed. If you want, you can change it for a newly warmed tile a few hours later.
Your cat needs a collar and tag if it goes outside. This can help if your cat becomes lost while wandering in the great outdoors. Make sure at a minimum to put your pets name and your phone number on the tag.
Nice furniture and cat claws don’t get along very well. If you find your cat tearing up things around your home, buy a scratching post or cat tower. Provide your cat with high-quality cat food. Carefully look over ingredients, and be sure that a quality protein source like chicken, fish, or beef is at the beginning of the list. Any foods with non-protein sources, such as corn, should be avoided. You have a carnivorous cat, and a diet consisting of animal proteins is essential.
When you bring a second cat into your home, allow a few weeks for the two to adjust to each other. In the early days, you may see a lot of posturing from the cats including hissing and swatting at each other. However, cats should eventually learn to co-habitate properly.
