Seen Savanh (ຊີ້ນສະຫວັນ) is a style of Lao beef jerky where the beef is sliced very thin and is marinated pretty sweet. “Savanh” in Lao means “heaven,” but, I was told that this style of beef jerky came from Savannakhet Province, in southern Laos, and that’s where the name came from.
