Our beef jerky recipe for our collaboration with Keeping It Dutch. We are sharing the recipe for our beef jerky, and he will be doing the taste testing and review. This recipe is a mimic of the popular “Sasquatch” name brand jerky. Later in the fall, Keeping It Dutch may be sending us some deer jerky to test for him in a reverse collaboration. This jerky recipe is very simple and done in a dehydrator. It can also be cooked in an oven if you prefer to cook it that way. We just wanted to share how to make beef jerky like we do here on the homestead. As homesteaders, food preservation for long term storage is a necessity. Making beef shelf stable is a part of that.
Our recipe includes:
Bold Stead Sauce
Marciano Cherry Juice
Crushed Red Pepper
Other varieties may include: Teriyaki Sauce and or Soy Sauce
