And here’s the recipe I used to make chefs backyard barbecue beef jerky.
Chefsbackyard BBQ Beef Jerky
2 lbs thin cut top round
1 tsp pepper
1 Tablespoon salt
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp onion powder
3 tablespoons sweet BBQ sauce
1 Tablespoon liquid smoke
2 Tablespoons worchestershire sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
Combine all ingredients, refrigerate overnight in plastic bag.
Place meat on cooking rack, cook evernight (8-10 hours) at 145°f.
For added flavor, brush meat with BBQ sauce half way through cooking, to make it spicy, add some crushed red pepper flakes.
Store in refrigerator up to 2 weeks.Enjoy!
